Your Indianapolis 500 Trip - How to Pack

Every year, lots of people travel to Indianapolis to view the Indianapolis 500 race in person. Packing appropriately for the trip to see the Indianapolis 500 is very important. In this article, you will find tips on how to pack your suitcases for the Indianapolis 500 trip.

Lots of people make the mistake of packing way too much to travel to the Indianapolis 500 race. It's always better to take as little as possible when you travel to see the Indianapolis 500, because taking more than you need may prove to turn out to be more of a burden than it is worth. Try to take one small suitcase and pack it with all the necessities for your trip to see the Indianapolis 500. As you will be traveling on the busy Memorial Day weekend, and the Indianapolis 500 takes place outside, you may consider taking a backpack to make things easier on yourself.

When you pack for your Indianapolis 500 trip, make sure that you pack a few first aid items. You need to pack a few preventive items as well. Because the race is outdoors, you will want to take sunscreen to protect your skin outdoors. If you have hair that's easily damaged, you should also bring along a good conditioner designed to protect your hair from the sun. You might also bring a cap, hat, or visor to protect your head and face. You might also bring sunglasses to protect your eyes in the sun. They is also great to counter the glare caused by race cars in the Indianapolis 500.

When you pack for your Indianapolis 500 trip, include clothing and shoes that are comfortable to wear outdoors for many hours at a time. You might have an outfit that looks really nice, but, if you aren't comfortable in it, you won't be able to focus on the race, but will be preoccupied with your discomfort. Pack shoes that are comfortable to wear outdoors and that you can walk in for hours. At the Indianapolis 500, you may find that you are on your feet quite a bit and having a comfortable pair of shoes will be your most important choice.

Lastly, when you pack for your Indianapolis 500 trip, don't pack anything that you place a high value on. There are too many cases where people have lost their luggage with something very important in it. In all the hustle and bustle, it's not uncommon to have lost important items because they were stolen. Whatever the case, don't fall victim to either situation. If you don't pack a high value item, and you experience one of these scenarios, you will not lose anything of value, becasue you did not bring an expensive item.
