People swarm to Indianapolis every year to see one of the world’s largest and most popular races, the Indianapolis 500. Most of the people arriving to watch the Indianapolis 500 are visitors from out of state. Most are familiar with the race, but many are not familiar with the facts about the Indianapolis 500 and the speedway that hosts it. You are allowed to bring media devices like cameras and videos into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. People enjoy capturing their personal memories on camera, or by recording the actual race on a video camera. Many other stadiums and raceways don't permit these kinds of devices. There is a rumor that flashes and lights from these devices can distract the drivers. However, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway understands that these are just rumors. So, when you visit the Indianapolis 500, you can record the action via video camera. You are also permitted to bring regular cameras, digital cameras, and even disposable cameras and take pictures as much or as little as you like!

People attending the Indianapolis 500 are often curious to know what kinds of items are permitted in the speedway. There are some restrictions against glass bottles and other glass containers. Usually, the stands are very busy. With all the hustle and bustle in the speedway, it's quite common for a glass bottle or container to break and injure someone.

You are even allowed to bring a cooler to the speedway. Lots of people bring coolers to have the things they want close to them. However, large coolers aren't permitted in the speedway because they take up a lot of room. You may bring a variety of items in your cooler, but you need to be aware that your cooler might be inspected to make sure there is nothing dangerous to other people in them. They are checked to make sure that there are no items forbidden in the speedway, like glass bottle and glass containers.

There are many things you may include many things in your cooler when visiting the Indianapolis 500. You can bring tobacco, food, water, soda, and even alcohol. If it is something you can eat or that hydrates you, you can bring it. Make sure you have no illegal items carried on the premises of the speedway.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway works hard to guarantee your safety and convenience, so it's important that you obey all the rules and regulations to make sure that everyone has a great time!
